SANTO DOMINGO.- El Partido de la Liberaci\u00f3n Dominicana (PLD) critic\u00f3 este lunes al Gobierno y al Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) por la no aprobaci\u00f3n de la reforma al C\u00f3digo de Trabajo, pese a contar con mayor\u00eda en el Congreso.<\/p>\n

Durante una rueda de prensa este lunes, Elso Segura Mart\u00ednez, secretario de Relaciones Laborales del PLD, llam\u00f3 al Gobierno a impulsar una reforma laboral que garantice la preservaci\u00f3n de la cesant\u00eda y otros derechos adquiridos por los trabajadores.<\/p>\n

VULNERABILIDAD ECONOMICA DE TRABAJADORES<\/strong><\/p>\n

El dirigente opositor dijo que la clase trabajadora atraviesa una situaci\u00f3n de vulnerabilidad econ\u00f3mica, producto del aumento constante en el costo de la vida y la inflaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl Gobierno debe garantizar una reforma equilibrada que no perjudique a los trabajadores ni elimine conquistas laborales hist\u00f3ricas como la cesant\u00eda\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, sostuvo que miles de trabajadores han perdido poder adquisitivo debido al incremento de los precios de productos b\u00e1sicos y servicios.<\/p>\n

Segura exigi\u00f3 a las autoridades aplicar la indexaci\u00f3n salarial establecida en la legislaci\u00f3n laboral vigente.<\/p>\n

SITUACION AFECTA A LOS MAS VULNERABLES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan dijo, la falta de actualizaci\u00f3n salarial frente a la inflaci\u00f3n mantiene a muchos empleados en condiciones econ\u00f3micas dif\u00edciles, afectando principalmente a los sectores m\u00e1s vulnerables.<\/p>\n

Los gremios sindicales han reiterado su rechazo a cualquier modificaci\u00f3n que implique reducci\u00f3n de derechos laborales adquiridos.<\/p>\n

En tanto que sectores empresariales y pol\u00edticos contin\u00faan debatiendo temas como la cesant\u00eda, jornadas laborales y costos para las empresas.<\/p>\n
