SANTO DOMINGO<\/strong>. \u2013 La Direcci\u00f3n General de Migraci\u00f3n (DGM) inform\u00f3 que este martes 3 de marzo fueron detenidos 962 extranjeros en condici\u00f3n migratoria irregular, durante operativos de interdicci\u00f3n desplegados en distintas provincias de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/p>\n

De esa cantidad, 261 fueron aprehendidos en las regiones Metropolitana y Este, donde se concentr\u00f3 un 27% del total.<\/p>\n

Las acciones se concentraron adem\u00e1s en las macro regiones Norte, Sur y en las provincias fronterizas.<\/p>\n

En el eje Este, conformado por La Altagracia, La Romana y San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, se registraron 138 arrestos, siendo esta la zona de mayor actividad durante la jornada, seguido de la Zona Metropolitana (Santo Domingo, San Crist\u00f3bal y Monte Plata) con 123.<\/p>\n

De ese total, 698 resultaron aprehendidas por los agentes de la DGM, 206 por el Ej\u00e9rcito, 18 por el Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre del Ministerio de Defensa (CESFRONT) y 40 por la Polic\u00eda Nacional.<\/p>\n

GRAN DESPLIEGUE <\/strong><\/p>\n

En el Gran Santo Domingo las autoridades intervinieron en sectores como Los Alcarrizos, Los Guar\u00edcanos, Invivienda, Haina y Los Girasoles.<\/p>\n

En la regi\u00f3n Este, en Benerito (La Altagracia), en Hig\u00fcey, B\u00e1varo, Ver\u00f3n, Cabeza de Toro y Uvero Alto.<\/p>\n

En la regi\u00f3n Norte los apresados sumaron 61 en Santiago de los Caballeros; 42 en Puerto Plata; y 15 en los municipios de Imbert y Guananico, as\u00ed como en Espaillat y Hermanas Mirabal.<\/p>\n

En la regi\u00f3n fronteriza se reportaron 77 retenciones en El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a; 56 en Independencia\/Jiman\u00ed; 31 en Pedernales y 40 en Dajab\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En el Sur ocurrieron 31 en Barahona; 30 en Bahoruco; y 11 en el eje Azua, Peravia y San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa.<\/p>\n

DEPORTACIONES <\/strong><\/p>\n

En las \u00faltimas 24 horas fueron deportados 852 extranjeros por los puestos fronterizos de Dajab\u00f3n (326), El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a (342), Jiman\u00ed (99) y Pedernales (86).<\/p>\n
