SANTO DOMINGO.- El ministro de Agricultura, Francisco Oliverio Espaillat, asegur\u00f3 que el programa orientado a reducir progresivamente la dependencia de la mano de obra haitiana en el sector agropecuario no tiene reversa en la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, ya que esta, adem\u00e1s de escasa, no resulta barata para el productor.<\/span><\/p>\n Explic\u00f3 que los momentos actuales ameritan una decisi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica vinculada a la modernizaci\u00f3n, la sostenibilidad y la competitividad del campo.<\/span><\/p>\n Indic\u00f3 que la falta de mano de obra se ha convertido en un problema estructural que solo puede enfrentarse con tecnolog\u00eda, mecanizaci\u00f3n y financiamiento adecuado para los productores.<\/span><\/p>\n Anunci\u00f3 que, por instrucciones del presidente Luis Abinader, se trabaja en la organizaci\u00f3n de una feria nacional de equipos agr\u00edcolas modernos, que incluir\u00e1 sembradoras, cosechadoras, drones y otros implementos, con facilidades de cr\u00e9dito a tasas c\u00f3modas y plazos de pago de hasta siete a\u00f1os.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00abEl tema de la mano de obra cada d\u00eda ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil. Eso no tiene marcha atr\u00e1s. Por eso tenemos que apoyarnos en las m\u00e1quinas.
