SANTO DOMINGO. \u2014  El secretario general de la Alianza por la Democracia (APD) Carlos S\u00e1nchez,  valor\u00f3 positivamente la propuesta de Juan Marichal de fijar en 18 a\u00f1os la edad m\u00ednima de firma internacional en la Major League Baseball (MLB).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abEs una discusi\u00f3n necesaria para modernizar el sistema, proteger el talento y elevar el valor del b\u00e9isbol dominicano\u201d, afirm\u00f3 al referirse al debate en torno al modelo de captaci\u00f3n de prospectos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Advirti\u00f3 que el esquema actual de firmas a los 16 a\u00f1os genera consecuencias nocivas para los j\u00f3venes y sus familias, al someterlos a presiones tempranas, entrenamientos extremos, abandono escolar y expectativas econ\u00f3micas desproporcionadas.

MODELO ACTUAL ES UNA CARRERA CONTRARELOJ<\/strong><\/p>\n

S\u00e1nchez se\u00f1al\u00f3 que este modelo convierte la etapa formativa en una carrera contrarreloj que impacta negativamente la salud f\u00edsica, emocional y el desarrollo integral de los adolescentes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sostuvo que establecer la edad m\u00ednima en 18 a\u00f1os permitir\u00eda ampliar el tiempo de formaci\u00f3n deportiva, educativa y personal de los prospectos.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cM\u00e1s tiempo significa mejor preparaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica y mental, y trayectorias deportivas m\u00e1s sostenibles. El talento crece mejor cuando se le da tiempo\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n
