LA HABANA.- En 2025, la represi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica en Cuba no solo se mantuvo: se intensific\u00f3.<\/p>\n

A lo largo del a\u00f1o, se incorporaron 134 nuevos prisioneros pol\u00edticos a nuestros registros, confirmando que la persecuci\u00f3n y la privaci\u00f3n de libertad siguen siendo herramientas centrales para silenciar la ciudadan\u00eda y el ejercicio de derechos fundamentales.<\/p>\n

Solo durante el mes de diciembre se registraron 10 nuevos presos pol\u00edticos y 5 salieron de la lista por cumplimiento \u00edntegro de condena, lo que eleva el total a 1.197 prisioneros pol\u00edticos documentados.<\/p>\n

El impacto humano de estas cifras es especialmente grave: entre las personas identificadas hay 128 mujeres y 32 menores de edad (29 chicos y 3 chicas).<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, entre los encarcelados han documentado 464 casos con patolog\u00edas m\u00e9dicas graves y 42 personas con trastornos de salud mental, todos ellos sin el tratamiento m\u00e9dico adecuado, una realidad que agrava la extrema vulnerabilidad de quienes est\u00e1n privados de libertad y evidencia el maltrato y la falta de atenci\u00f3n dentro del sistema penitenciario.<\/p>\n
