Santo Domingo, Antonio Taveras Guzm\u00e1n, anunci\u00f3 este mi\u00e9rcoles su salida del Partido Revolucionario Moderno y confirm\u00f3 que continuar\u00e1 ejerciendo sus funciones como senador independiente en el Congreso Nacional.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, el legislador asegur\u00f3 que tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n tras considerar que dentro del oficialismo \u201cpocas cosas han avanzado\u201d y que el partido habr\u00eda perdido el rumbo en temas fundamentales, especialmente en la lucha contra la corrupci\u00f3n y las transformaciones institucionales prometidas al pa\u00eds. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taveras sostuvo que muchas de las expectativas generadas por el gobierno se han quedado a medio camino, advirtiendo que esto ha provocado una percepci\u00f3n negativa entre sectores de la poblaci\u00f3n sobre el cumplimiento de las promesas de cambio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El congresista indic\u00f3 que mantendr\u00e1 una posici\u00f3n independiente dentro del Senado, defendiendo las iniciativas que considere beneficiosas para la ciudadan\u00eda y oponi\u00e9ndose a aquellas que, seg\u00fan
